Step 1: Checking payroll service subscription 

  1. Shut all the programs and restart the computer.
  2. Launch QuickBooks and move to the Employees option.
  3. Click My Payroll Service and then select Manage Service Key.
  4. Service Name and Status must be accurate and should display as Active.
  5. Select Edit, and check the service key number. If it’s incorrect, enter the correct one.
  6. Choose Next
  7. Untick the Open Payroll Setup box and then click Finish.
  8. Payroll updation will be downloaded in your computer.

Step 2: Register and update your QuickBooks Desktop

  1. Press F2 and it will launch Product Information.
  2. Ensure the license number is Activated.
